Our impact
Through the generous support of organisations and individuals, Union Dance has changed the lives of many young people. It’s a joint effort and we’d like your support, too.
Union Dance is a catalyst for equality for artists of all backgrounds.
As an educational charity and professional arts company, we innovate and educate, integrating dance and movement with digital technology, music and spoken word.
Culture and identity is promoted through the use of contemporary, street and martial arts styles.
Our mission is to help others pursue a career in the arts, using a mix of formal and informal learning to inspire creative development.
Infinity Music
Sponsorship | 2021
Inspiring artists from every ethnicity, culture and background is what we do. There’s no better example of the work we delivered than helping positive vibes music group, Infinity Music, to set up and run their own cross-cultural recording studio.
Anxiety Arts Festival
Brixton | London
Engaging with the arts, providing cultural education and a sense of well-being and creative freedom.
Our work alongside the NHS and the Mental Health Foundation helped participants develop physical strength and social interaction through an event presented to a live audience.
Reflection Route
British Museum | Covent Garden
We hosted a day of reflection at the British Museum with an open performance including music, spoken word, a forum and a screening to mark the birthday of Nelson Mandela.
Union Too Youth Group
National Portrait Gallery | London
Our youth group was created with the aim of providing core dance skills, education and well-being to young people aged 13-25. Passionate and enthusiastic, the students have enjoyed 9-years of summer residency at the National Portrait Gallery.
Union Dance delivers evening dance sessions across London, working in collaboration with organisations such as The National Film School and Westminster University. We’ve worked with generations of individuals, from dedicated volunteers to professional artists.
We inspire communities, improve self-esteem and provide a sense of wellbeing, belonging and purpose.
